Colonel Dan Biography
COLONEL
DAN describes himself first
and foremost as a staunch American patriot and soldier. He’s a retired Army
officer whose military family heritage stretches back to the American
Revolution where his grandfather, 5 generations removed, commanded an infantry
company throughout
Dan
has also been a contributing columnist for several well-known organizations
over the years. His pro-constitution
articles and “no compromise on liberty” approach routinely strikes a chord with
conservatives and a raw nerve with liberals.
His goal and motto: “Preserving the Spirit of ’76.”
He has authored numerous works on national
strategic, defense and political issues and currently writes a series of
political commentary on constitutional and national affairs for the Cowboy Chronicle.©
Dan
retired from active duty in 1995 after almost 24 years of service where his career
took him around the world in a variety of infantry, cavalry and military
intelligence assignments that included combat and non-combat units, command as
well as staff positions within the United States, Germany, the Middle East and
Korea as well as holding the position of assistant professor of military
science at the university level. He served
with Central Command during the Persian Gulf War where he was assigned to General
Schwarzkopf’s staff in support of the Eastern Coalition Forces working
intelligence operations.
Upon
retiring from military service, Dan entered the corporate world as a defense
contractor serving as a program manager and company vice president overseeing
the development and construction of a 21st century command and staff
training system for brigade through Army level commanders and their staffs. He retired from the defense industry in 2008
and now spends his time actively involved with Cowboy Action Shooting, various
political causes, traveling with his wife of over 40 years, visiting their
three grown children, 6 grandchildren and of course writing political
commentary.
He
earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from

is a life member of the National Rifle Association, The Blackhorse Association and
the Single Action Shooting Society and the Military Officer’s Association of
America. He is also a member of the Sons
of the American Revolution and the United States Military Academy “A” Club.
