Below are the essays that have appeared chronologically in my current column published by the Single Action Shooting Society’s Cowboy Chronicle. I’ve limited these archives only to those musings published by the Chronicle rather than trying to capture all my essays from the years I wrote commentary for a news organization—I’m lazy that way! I will be updating these archives monthly as my articles appear in the Cowboy Chronicle.

Short Shots: After 40+ years of watching the political scene and writing commentary in some form at various levels, I’ve come to a conclusion. The major national parties, Democrat and Republican want the same thing—power, control and bigger government but they want to blame the desire for and achievement of that goal on the other guy. Want proof? You never see the newly elected reverse or repeal any government expanding bills the former party in power passed while they were in power do you? They just continue growing, growing and growing; taxing, taxing and taxing; blaming, blaming and blaming. How do we combat this? Elect true constitutional conservatives…period.
